Adam Chardukian, COO of George Jon, recently participated in a brainstorming session with fellow members of the Forbes Business Council to discuss methodologies for data privacy regulations.
According to Adam, companies need to simply be familiar with and exceed all relevant privacy requirements:
“Privacy and data security are two areas where many SMBs simply don’t have the expertise to institute best practices. Step one is to make sure you know the privacy requirements for your field. Law firms, for instance, have very different data protection requirements than bakeries. Step two is to hire experts who can help you meet or exceed requirements.”
